CHARLEVOIX — Police got much more than they bargained for when they caught up to a fleeing shoplifting suspect Wednesday.

A group of mostly Maumelle residents has started a petition drive in an effort to stop what it calls the overdevelopment of the fast-growing eastern boundary of Maumelle and the western edge of North Little Rock running along Maumelle Boulevard.

Trainer Eoin Doyle is fancied to land a double at Thurles today with Come To The Party and Mazuri Cowboy.
